Financial Assistance, Charity Care & Collection Procedure

Financial assistance. AOSC intends to offer financial assistance to eligible patients who are unable to pay for medically necessary services in full. Eligibility, discount levels, and the application process will be described in AOSC's financial assistance policy, available on request.

Charity care. Patients who qualify under AOSC's charity care policy may have all or part of their facility charges reduced or waived. Qualification is based on financial need as described in the policy.

Collection procedure. Patient statements are issued following the provision of services. Patients with an outstanding balance who do not qualify for or are not participating in financial assistance may be contacted regarding payment arrangements prior to any referral to a collection process. Specific timeframes and steps are described in AOSC's billing and collection policy.
